1Wie wählt man zwischen QSFP28 SR4, LR4 und BiDi?
- SR4 (850nm, MPO): Kurze Distanz ≤ 100m über OM3/OM4-Faser — Intra-Rack und Inter-Rack im Serverraum.
- LR4 (1309nm, LC): Lange Distanz bis zu 10km über OS2-Singlemode-Faser — Inter-Building oder DCI.
- BiDi (1291/1311nm): Eine einzige Faser für beide Richtungen — spart Verkabelung, falls Faser bereits installiert ist.
2Was ist der Unterschied zwischen DAC, AOC und Transceiver + Glasfaserkabel?
- DAC (Direktkupfer): ≤ 5m, günstiger, kein Stromverbrauch — ideal für Intra-Rack Top-of-Rack.
- AOC (Aktive Faser): Bis zu 100m, leicht, ohne separates SFP — Inter-Rack mit großer Reichweite.
- Transceiver + Glasfaserkabel: Flexibel, unbegrenzte Distanzen, individuelles Hot-Plug — dauerhafte Infrastruktur.
3Sind Ihre Module mit meinem Cisco / Arista / Mellanox Switch kompatibel?
Ja. Jedes Elfcam-Modul wird maßgeschneidert codiert für die Marke Ihrer Hardware. Verwenden Sie den Konfigurator oben oder kontaktieren Sie uns mit dem genauen Modell Ihres Switches — wir prüfen die Kompatibilität vor dem Versand.
4Welche Faser sollte mit einem QSFP28 SR4 100G verwendet werden?
Das QSFP28 SR4 verwendet eine Multimode-Faser OM3 oder OM4 mit MPO/MTP-Stecker (12 Fasern). Max. Distanz: 70m auf OM3, 100m auf OM4. Für längere Distanzen wählen Sie das QSFP28 LR4 mit OS2-Singlemode-Faser und LC-Duplex-Stecker.
5Kann ein QSFP28 in einem QSFP+-Slot verwendet werden?
Nur wenn der Switch den "QSFP28 backward compatible"-Modus unterstützt. In diesem Fall läuft der Port mit 40G. Prüfen Sie das Datenblatt Ihrer Hardware — einige Arista- und Mellanox-Switches akzeptieren beides, andere benötigen ein Firmware-Update.

Alle Elfcam-Module verfügen über eine lebenslange Garantie. Versand am nächsten Werktag aus unserem Lager in Frankreich. Kostenlose Rücksendung, falls sich das Modul nicht in Ihrer Hardware initialisieren lässt.
